Well, my Mastodon instance had stopped working.
I discovered the VMs drive space was full.
Getting it working wasn’t too bad - I mostly just needed to expand the drive space, so had to learn about cfdisk, pvresize, lvextend, and resize2fs. The database wasn’t corrupted, so Mastodon was able to resume functioning as usual.
I guess this means it’s time for me to invest in installing and configuring some sort of monitoring system in my homelab. Grafana and Prometheus seem to be very popular, so I’ll check those out. I’ve heard there are some anoyances with Grafana, but hopefully its popularity (and my simple environment) will result in plenty of information and minimal issues.
